I had the pleasure of working with Mark at the CRC for three years from 2001-2004. It was great fun. Mark, Leo, Bob, Dan, Sharon, and Mick; what a crew! Work should be fun, and Mark always made sure fun was a part of the environment. He was so good at programming and providing resources for CNY artists, he will truly be missed.
Peace.

I have known Mark for 20 years and there is much I will miss about him. Mark had a contagious laugh and a warm bear hug for you whenever he saw you. The arts community has lost an advocate but has now gained a guardian angel! We are left to miss him. For me, Downtown will not be the same without seeing Mark crossing Columbus Circle heading to his office. Busy as he was he always had a moment to catch up with you. Mark, may you be free from the constraints of this earthly life to fly free and softshoe across the next. Blessed be.

I am so sad that Mark will no longer be with us, and to greet us and make us comfortable at the Folk Arts Roundtable. He was so kind and unassuming, yet completely effective. To think too that he had been a football lineman! I wish I'd known him better. We'll miss you, Mark. Anna

What a beautiful soul. Who would have thought a Buffalo Bills lineman look-a-like could be so caring and giving,,when I failed twice to secure a grant for my CD,,Mark helped me get throught it all,,,what stuck me the most was his ability to silently let you know : yes you are worth it,,yes ,you deserve this,,keep working with me,,he is a buddha of the highest degree for his insights into human nature. nam-myoho-renge-kyo.

As producer of the Children's Glassworks Theatre in Cleveland, NY, Mark was so generous to us over the years in endowing us grants for our little theatre. He will be sorely missed, he was so knowledgeable in his field. His shoes will be very difficult to fill. Our sincere condolences.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Mark's passing. He was so generous you didn't even have to know him for long to be deeply affected by his knowledge and generous spirit. Once he met you it was like you were always friends, and he never forgot you or what project(s) you were involved in. Dedicated, generous, helpful and kind - Mark, it was a privilege to know you and have you share your time and talent with all of us in Central New York.

I will always remember Mark as a person who would take time out to guide artists in achieving their goals. He stayed extra hours at the office to accommodate me when I was apply for my first grants. Through his dedication and efforts the arts community has grown and will continue to florish.

I am very sorry to read of Mark's passing. I met Mark while Volunteering for the Syracuse Irish Fest. He & Ted always made sure things were 'all right' for my brother, myself and any other friends we recruited. (Those were the 'good old days!')
I only knew him briefly, but he was always friendly, kind & was extremely hard working! RIP Mark, and my condolences to his family, coworkers, friends & the CNY community.
