About The Michael Harms Theater Festival

The Michael Harms Theater Festival seeks to foster greater interest in theater work by students and teachers in secondary schools. The program has gained wide recognition as a theater experience of high educational value and fun. The festival provides a rare opportunity for students and teachers to display their outstanding acting and technical achievement in front of their peers and professional theater practitioners.

Give Your Students an Experience to Remember…

  • Students gain the experience of working with professionals in the field by attending workshops being offered during the Festival.
  • Each group has a scheduled tech session to set lighting & sound cues, to spike set and props; etc.
  • Each group performs for the CRC’s panel of judges and peers, and then receives critiques and comments from our panel.
  • Scholarships (if funds are available) and awards are awarded for individual and ensemble work at the Festival’s awards ceremony.
