About Youth Theatre

The goal of the CRC’s Youth Theatre Series is to provide elementary and secondary students from inner city, suburban and rural school districts the opportunity to experience high quality, professional children’s theatre at an affordable price. For more than 30 years Youth Theater attendees come from at least seven counties (Onondaga, Cayuga, Madison, Oswego, Cortland, Jefferson and Lewis) and beyond. Since its inception more than 700,000 students, teachers and parents have attended a diverse range of productions at the Civic Center Theatres in downtown Syracuse.  In December of 2009, nearly seven thousand children, teachers, and parents attended “The Adventures of Rudolph”.  CRC thanks our corporate and private donors and the Helen R. Brady Foundation for providing funding support that allowed 665 children and adults to attend this year’s show for either reduced costs or for FREE.
