Exhibit “Cultural Expressions”

CRC in collaboration with the Main Branch of the Onondaga County Public Library is pleased to present “Cultural Expressions” – a group exhibit showcasing the works of six artists from Syracuse’s African American Community for Black History Month.
These artists were trained in schools as diverse as Pratt Institute, to Syracuse University, to University of Houston, and Oklahoma State. The six professional artist combined for this exhibit have been given residency programs all across the United States. The artistic effort shown at this exhibit illustrates the depth of talent residing in Onondaga County.

These six artists represent mixed media work as diverse as Denise Cole’s pastels and graphites to Robert Harris’s paintings. To Vanessa Johnson’s fiber works to Mardea Warner’s monotypes and collagraphs. Not to leave out Ellen Blalock’s photography nor the prints of Michael Moody.

The exhibit is now housed at the Central Library located at 447 S. Salina Street and will be up for black history month. February 1-28th…
